Almost There...
Pictures are below of the kitchen renovation that has been months in the making. We truly are almost there now, not much more to do, just finishing touches and moving in.
Coffered ceiling in the eating area, tin ceiling in the kitchen. The bar will have the same small schoolhouse lights as above the sink. Those are currently antique brass, I will paint them to match the others sooner or later. The large schoolhouse lights are from Restoration Hardware, the small ones are from Lowe's. For $30, I don't mind painting them myself.

Slate tile floor - this one drove Jesus nuts. Not only are the tiles not all the same thickness, but they aren't all perfectly square either. I would say slate is not his favorite!
The To-Do List:
Jesus worked very hard to make sure things were done correctly and not just the quick and easy way. He did not cut corners or try to take the easy way, which is almost unheard of now. And while it has taken all summer, it really is worth it.

- Mike to finish electrical
- Tile back splash finished and grouted
- Install reducers where wood meets tile
- Touch up paint where grout stained
- Install shelves, doors, and drawers in cabinetry
- Install hardware on cabinetry
- Install appliances
- Install sink faucet, drain, garbage disposer, etc.
- MOVE IN!

Ooh, I love it, especially the transom windows!
We laid a slate floor in our bathroom... definitely hard to work with!!!
LOVE your kitchen. This is just how I vision our kitchen. We already have the same slate tiles installed(ours are installed in a running bond pattern)I want the soapstone tops, the same style cabinets, and the same lights are on my wish list. I do have a 1" square light grey glass tile picked out for the backsplash. The slate is definitely a natural product.
